We thank you for supporting our Resource Center. It is imperative to us that your credit card details are safe and secure.
This page aims to put your mind at ease as well a guide to new website builders.
“I believe you are safe and secure using our site and eCommerce partners, to the extent that I have donated using my credit card ~ David Mulroney”
It is important to note that we do not get money from you directly. All companies go through a “Payment Gateway Provider” (“PGP”), “Merchant Account Provider” (“MAP”) and finally into our bank account.
Our MAP is through Flagship Merchant Services. We selected Flagship as they received the Gold Award Winner from an Independent gateway review. Flagship has graciously offered us awesome pricing as a way of supporting us as a nonprofit. Compared to PayPal on a $1 donation, Flagship is 1/3 of the cost. Our thanks to Flagstaff for their support.
Our PGP is through Authorise.Net and is ultimately responsible for the settlement agent between your credit card company and our bank.
Simply speaking you enter your credit card details directly to Authorise.Net through their website: “https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll”. We never see your credit card details.
- Secure Customer Data Management
Use Customer Information Manager (CIM) to tokenize and store your customers’ sensitive payment information on our secure servers, simplifying your PCI DSS compliance as well as the payments process for returning customers and recurring transactions.
- Advanced Fraud Detection Suite
Identify, manage and prevent suspicious and potentially costly fraudulent transactions with our Advanced Fraud Detection Suite™ (AFDS). Customize its rules-based filters and tools to your business.
Authorize.Net have a great page on how it works if you are interested in learning more.
The fundamentals of what you are reading has been created through “WordPress” (“WP”). WP is a free webpage publisher that runs on your webserver and can be accessed anywhere by login in as administrator. Thanks Derrico for the recommendation.
Our webserver is hosted by DreamHost. They support non-profits by offering free web hosting and received great reviews and have been a pleasure to work with. They created our Nerci.org domain for free, we have to pay the annual $12 for renewal.
Our eCommerce is provided through a WP plugin called theCartPress. CartPress stores your non-credit details for our records and provides us with an email when we are blessed with a donation.
